
Julie LaBahn Co-Founder, President, CEO I founded this business with my husband and partner 30 years ago, and in that time we have experienced myriad changes in the economy, legal environment and daily operational demands. I have been keenly involved in strategic planning and steering the success of this company, while enjoying the unique privilege of working closely with my husband, Michael LaBahn, in a successful business partnership. In the last 6 years we have enjoyed having Joanna, our eldest child, working alongside us building the Sales and Marketing Division. At some point in time all five of our children have been involved in working to build the strong service organization that we are today. This family experience has deepened our respect for one another and formed a solid foundation for all the families that are represented by each employee here at LaBahn's Landscaping.
Mike LaBahn Co-Founder, Vice President of Operations
Mike LaBahn is a father of five and a man of great accomplishments. He and Julie started LaBahn's Landscaping in 1981, and for several years they maintained full-time employment outside of the business to make ends meet. Through much hard work and persistence, he finally achieved one of his lifetime goals - being a business owner. It has been a long and rewarding process to build a successful family business with his wife.
Along with being a successful entrepreneur, Mike is also a board member at his church and is actively involved in important decisions regarding the church's direction. In addition, he is involved with coaching the boy's basketball team at his children's school. Mike and his wife Julie both give marriage counseling for other married couples, as well as separately mentor individuals one-on-one. Mike is in the final stages of publishing his very first book, "Money Management God's Way". He has also teaches classes on finance and gives various inspirational lectures on goal-setting.
Mike has enjoyed 'marrying' his talents with his wife's to grow a thriving business in their hometown. In addition, Mike is enjoying working with and sharing his love and expertise of the business with his daughter, Joanna, as the company continues to grow.
Joanna LaBahn Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Joanna LaBahn grew up in the landscaping industry. She started going on walk-throughs with her mom and dad at an early age. From that point on she took an interest in and began to love landscaping, notably the business aspect of it.
Joanna started from the ground up at the company five years ago. She began by interning at the office, working part-time to get experience in accounting and general office administration. After completing college, she and her parents decided she should start in the field. Joanna quickly transitioned to field supervisor and then aggressively tackled sales and marketing. Thanks to her parent's leadership and support she currently oversees the growth and public relations for the company as Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Joanna holds a Bachelor's degree in Spanish from Cal State San Marcos. She is passionate about serving her community and working with the youth and Hispanic ministry at her church. She loves what she does because it enables her to pursue her passion in foreign mission with regular trips to places such as El Salvador and Mexico to help at orphanages.
Joanna thoroughly enjoys working with her parents, where she can learn from their experience and business savvy. Her favorite part about the business is pursuing relationships with customers and helping her employees achieve their full potential.
There is no place she'd rather invest her career window of opportunity and growth than with the two people who impress integrity and teamwork upon her.
Al Ancira Greater San Diego Area Chief Operations Officer
Al has over 25 years of experience in the landscaping
industry. He comes to Labahn’s after working in the San Francisco Bay area
where he worked for one of Lawn and Landscapes recognized “Top 100
Nationwide” landscape companies. During his time there he became a CLCA
Water Manager, a Certified Water Auditor through The Irrigation Association,
and “Bay Friendly" Certified through Stop Waste.org. Al holds a QAL
license through the State of California. He has managed both Landscape
maintenance and installation operations. Al excels at hearing and responding to
the needs of each individual customer. One of Al's greatest objectives is to
help his employees reach their potential by providing them the tools that will
help them achieve success.
Al has a passion for helping people succeed and has
worked with inner city youth in his church for more than 25 years. He believes
in helping the community and the environment. While working full-time Al
obtained a BA in Theology and subsequently a Master’s Degree in Theology and
Historical Studies.
Al moved to San Diego, CA in 2011 to be close to family.

Oscar Montoya Account Manager
Oscar has been involved with the landscaping industry for the past six years, teaming up with LaBahn's in 2008. He is passionate about landscaping and loves his current position because it allows him the flexibility to be a manager while still being in the field on a regular basis. Music is another passion of Oscar's. He enjoys taking part in worship at his church and is an avid trumpet player. He currently lives in the El Cajon area with his wife and young son.

Angelica Plascencia Office ManagerAngelica has over 5
years of experience in the Human Resources field and Business Administration. She joins LaBahn's Landscaping after working
for the HR department at a large manufacturing company that employs over 250
people.
“Working in HR as I transitioned
through college subconsciously developed a passion for employee relations. I
obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences with an emphasis
in Anthropology from Cal State Monterey Bay. I have always been passionate
about learning from other cultures and people’s life experiences as I enjoy
traveling and admiring the beauty of Mother Nature! Working for LaBahn’s has
not only provided the opportunity to appreciate the serenity of being
surrounded by great landscape; but also the opportunity to join an organization
